Our Story

The Boutique is a family owned women's clothing store located in Stowe, Vermont. We absolutely love what we do. We search out the most unique, well priced clothing available. My mom Trudy, sister Erin and want-to-be sister Jessica, have been operating the store and purchasing our fashions since we opened. 

We believe that shopping should be affordable, that you can look fabulous and feel amazing in the right clothing. We love to help our Boutique community shop!  People think that we have too much fun here sometimes; and we do!  Our customers are more like our friends than customers.

We have something for any of your needs. We like to be the place where you can run in and grab a needed item on your way to work. Spill your coffee on your tee? No worries. We have cute t’s in a wide variety of colors. Or grab something off our always full $10 or $20 rack.

We have dresses, tees, tanks, blouses, skirts, dresses, coats for all seasons, the best denim around, tights, socks, leggings, swimsuits, purses, and jewelry.

The best thing about our jewelry collection is most of it is made by hand by me!  My pieces are all original designs and are made by me at home in the evenings.

Our sister store, Stowe Mercantile, is a 4500 square foot country store, selling almost everything you can imagine.  We offer specialty foods, craft beer and small batch local wines.  Additionally, we have a vintage candy counter, Vermont souvenirs, home decor, toys and tons of locally made products. Stowe Mercantile is located in the same Main Street building as The Boutique. And best of all, I now manage both stores with the help of Erin and Jessica. 

My mom, Trudy, keeps busy with buying for both of the stores and coordinating the merchandising with me.  She also designs all the graphics for the tee shirts and sweatshirts we sell in Stowe Mercantile. 

The Bottom line is we are a family business of multiple generations with more on the way as grandchildren are growing up helping in the stores now.  We love our customers and our community, and we look forward to welcoming new guests to our stores and visiting with past guests when they return.
